Outlook 2003



Setting up Outlook 2003 for your InterBel.net E-mail Service

Below is your step by step guide on configuring your InterBel.net E-mail service to work with Outlook 2003.

First we will want to begin with opening the Outlook 2003.  You will come to the Welcome screen. Click on next to continue.  If you have used your Outlook program previously you can access the accuont configuration section by clicking on Tools --> Accounts.

To begin configuring your email client, Outlook first asks if you want to configure an e-mail account.  Make sure Yes is selected and then click on next to continue.


Next Outlook will ask you the type of account you want to configure.  Make sure this is selected as POP3 and then click on next to continue.

Our next step will be to configure the e-mail account settings.  First we will want to specify your Name and e-mail address.  Your name should be your name, either First, First and Last or Nickname.  After we have completed this, let's fill in the Incoming mail server information.  In the box provided type the server address of mail.interbel.net in the box.  Next we will specify the Outgoing e-mail server.  In the box provided for this, type the server address of smtp.interbel.net.  After these are set, we still need to provide the password for your e-mail account, and your username should have been automatically set for you.  If it did not set your username, type in the beginning part of your e-mail address leaving off the @interbel.net.  Then type your password.  We are nearly finished, but click on more settings to continue.

On the Internet E-mail Settings screen, click on the Outgoing Server tab.  We will need to put a check mark in the box that states "My server requires authentication".  Then click on OK to apply the setting.

This will bring us back to the E-mail Accounts screen.  To complete the setup of your InterBel.net e-mail account, click next.

Congratulations, your Outlook 2003 has been configured for your InterBel.net e-mail service.  Click on Finish to start using your e-mail account.
