Droid 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

Setting up your Droid 4.0 for your InterBel.net e-mail service.

Here is the step by step guide on configuring your Droid 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for use with your InterBel.net e-mail service.  If you have not launched the e-mail application, tap on the Email icon, then skip ahead to the Add Account image to conitnue .  If you have already configured an email account on your droid tap on your settings icon and follow below.

Once you have settings loaded, locate the personal section and tap on Accounts & Sync.

After your accounts are loaded, at the bottom of your screen, tap on add account.

After this, tap on email to begin setting up your email account.

Next we will pick the type of account we want to create.  To establish your InterBel.net e-mail account on your android device, tap on other.

From here we will begin configuring your android device.  First we will want to enter your e-mail address and password. Then tap on next to continue.

Next, we need to specify the account type.  Tap on POP3 to continue.

After we have selected the account type, we will set your incoming mail settings.  You username will be the first part of your e-mail account and the password.  By default it will have your full e-mail address and password there for you.  Remove the @interbel.net for the username section.  It will also default the POP3 server to pop.interbel.net.  This will need to be changed to mail.interbel.net  The rest of the settings can remain as they are and you can tap on next to proceed.

After we have set up our incoming e-mail settings, we will now need to setup our outgoing server.  By default your android device will add the incoming mail server as the SMTP server.  We will want to modify this to reflect smtp.interbel.net.  The rest of the defaulted information can stay the same.  Tap on next to proceed.

We are nearly finished setting up your android to recieve your InterBel.net e-mail.  This part allows you to configure specific settings for your account such as how often to check for messages and whether to only allow e-mail when connected to a wi-fi connection.  Once you have this setup how you would like, tap on done to continue.

Finally we need to set the account and display name for your e-mail account.  The account name is optional to change, but i would recommend setting the display name to any of the following: First Name, First and Last Name or Nickname.  Once you have set the display name, tap on next to continue.

Congratulations!  This will complete the setup of your e-mail account to work on your android device running Ice Cream Sandwich. The final section will show that your android device is attempting to sync with the mail server, and then it will begin downloading your e-mail messages.
